Fishing Florida

Fishing is a great activity that is enjoyed by many tourists yearly on the coasts of Florida. Its always a fun time to spot the snook on a beautiful, clear afternoon. This truly makes your fishing experience a pleasure.

Fishing Florida is always a great time and is one of the most popular destinations in the world. With the many salt water lakes the opportunity of catching trophy fish is high from Jacksonville to Naples Some of the best fishing is Tampa and Cape Canaveral on the west and east coast. There's rarely a day that's not good for fishing in Florida. The hardest part of fishing for sea trout, tarpon, grouper, and dolphin in the estuaries is the difficult task of keeping on the line.

In the Ten thousand Islands, red fish is very popular. You will find these fish more in the fall seasons in shallow waters. Locals call it one foot deep due to their love of the grassy bottom shallows. You need to be alert when fishing, initially cast the bait in front of the fish and reel it upwards so that the bait intersects the fish and bam! “Fish, on!”  Tampa Bay is just an hour from the theme parks of Orlando. This salt lake offers great opportunities with its brackish water. During summers you will find massive silver skin tarpon. Each spring this fish migrates northwards to the west coast. This fish is very acrobatic making it really difficult to keep hooked. This is a really heart throbbing experience when it comes out of water shaking and attempting to break out sideways.

The Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island has shallow waters and sea grass growing through out it. This is a perfect place for red fish. These fish can be easily caught with light tackle. Fishing Florida is more productive on this coast in winter.

Near the Morco Island, south of Ft. Myers the coastline transforms southeasterly. You will see mangrove islands, golden sandy beaches with twisting water ways and small bays. Ten thousands Islands are far with great place to wet a line. Here the red fish and snook are in demand with the sea trout, tarpon, pompano etc. Snook is found in various sizes and a trophy fish is just 36 inches long.

You can also hire a guide for an entire day of fishing in order to explore the deep waters. The price varies from $250 to $400 with one or two anglers for the whole day. Just carry the refreshments along with snacks to satisfy your appetite.

This is a stretch of broken sandy beaches with streams of water exchanging in to the Mexico coast. Lagoons are slender water bodies which separate the islands from the mainland. At the Atlantic coast while fishing Florida you will find many trouts, red fish and getting them over bait is not a difficult task.

With the Atlantic coast to the left and Florida Bay to the right, fishing Florida is a completely satisfying experience under the guidance of the pros.
