LIVE BAIT

Catching live bait or even purchasing live bait is the key factor in kite fishing off of the beautiful waters in Miami, FL, or anywhere really.  A frisky and unscathed live bait will guarantee you a strike.  The typical baits used in kite fishing are small blue runners, goggle eyes, large threadfin herring, and tinker mackerels.  All the baits should be bridled just in front of the top dorsal so the bait can move freely with the hook just above it.
