Fishing for Sailfish with live bait on kites is an exciting and often most sought after method of fishing larger pelagic species of fish like Dolphin, Tuna, and Sailfish. Kite fishing was originated and perfected here in Miami Florida by Capt. Bob Lewis and is the favorite fishing method for catching Sailfish aboard Jumanji. Many fishing guides throughout the years have experimented with fishing techniques such as trolling with dead bait, trolling lures, or even drift fishing, but non are as exciting as watching a huge fish jump through the air to grab the live bait off the kite line. A Miami fishing charter aboard Jumanji during November through April is a great time for catching Sailfish. The winter months usually stir up a little more wind than usual and the cold weather really spikes fish's appetites. Although we do live in a sub-tropical climate, we get our snaps of cold weather during the winter months and it acts as a great break from the really hot summers when our waters offshore are hot and riddled with large Dolphin (mahi-mahi), Tuna, Kingfish, Shark, Tarpon, Snook, Snapper, and Grouper. Every Miami fishing charter boat trip is a different experience and we make the best of every one.
